Where Should I Go in the Philippines?
Choosing a destination is usually a trade-off, not a popularity contest. A short Metro Manila weekend has different constraints from a six-day island trip, and some travelers are happy to coordinate ferries and transfers while others want the simplest possible arrival.
The Bakasyon trip matcher makes those trade-offs explicit. Pick the kind of trip you want, how much time you have, where you are starting from, and how much transport complexity you are willing to tolerate. The tool then compares the destinations in our current Philippines Travel Friction Index.
Your answers stay in your browser. The matcher does not send them to Bakasyon, and the result is an editorial planning aid rather than a claim that one destination is objectively “best.”

How the matcher scores destinations
The matcher awards points for overlap between a traveler’s selected trip style, available trip length, departure context, family requirement, and logistics tolerance. Logistics points come from the Bakasyon Philippines Travel Friction Index 2026. Destination tags are editorial planning classifications intended to make trade-offs explicit. Results are deterministic and computed in the browser; no personal data is sent to Bakasyon.
The first release intentionally does not pretend to know live hotel prices, current weather, or your personal definition of a perfect holiday. Those can become additional inputs as Bakasyon’s structured datasets grow.
