Have a Philippine travel story, local insight, or practical tip worth sharing? Bakasyon.ph welcomes article proposals from travelers, students, local writers, tourism professionals, and people with firsthand knowledge of Philippine destinations.

Our goal is simple: publish useful, trustworthy travel content that helps readers explore the Philippines with greater confidence.

What We're Looking For

We especially welcome:

  • Accessible, family-friendly, or budget-conscious travel recommendations.
  • Responsible tourism and respectful cultural experiences.

We value original observations, local knowledge, and details that readers would struggle to find in generic travel articles.

Student contributions and academic travel-writing projects are welcome for consideration.

Submission Requirements

Your article should:

  1. Be original and written by you or your identified coauthors.
  2. Offer useful, accurate information rather than primarily promoting a business or product.
  3. Clearly distinguish firsthand experiences from researched information.
  4. Include appropriate sources for historical, factual, or time-sensitive claims.
  5. Use clear headings and readable paragraphs.
  6. Respect local communities, cultural traditions, privacy, and personal dignity.
  7. Disclose relevant business relationships, sponsorships, complimentary experiences, or other potential conflicts of interest.

We do not impose a strict word count. Most submissions should be developed enough to cover their subject meaningfully without unnecessary repetition.

AI-assisted editing or research must be disclosed. Contributors remain responsible for accuracy, originality, and fact-checking. We do not accept fabricated experiences, invented interviews, or misleading AI-generated material.

Photographs and Supporting Material

Original photographs are welcome, particularly when they help readers understand a destination or experience.

Please provide appropriate captions and confirm that you have permission to share the images for publication. Do not submit copyrighted photographs taken from other websites without permission.

Identify any images used for illustration rather than as documentation of the actual visit.

Author Credit and Links

Accepted contributions may include an author byline and a short contributor biography.

Relevant websites, professional affiliations, or portfolio links may be considered where appropriate.

Publication does not guarantee backlinks, particular link attributes, search rankings, traffic, or promotional exposure. All links remain subject to editorial review.

Editorial Independence

Bakasyon.ph retains full editorial discretion.

We may request revisions, verify information, correct factual errors, edit for clarity, update articles after publication, or decline submissions that do not meet our standards.

Submission does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

Unpaid editorial contributions are separate from commercial advertising or sponsored collaborations. Any accepted paid partnership must be clearly disclosed and handled under our advertising and editorial policies.

We do not accept payment in exchange for undisclosed promotional articles or guaranteed SEO links.

Contributors retain ownership of their original work.

By agreeing to publication, contributors grant Bakasyon.ph nonexclusive permission to publish, display, edit, format, maintain, and update the accepted contribution on our website, with appropriate author attribution.

Contributors must have the necessary rights and permissions for all submitted text, photographs, and other materials, including work created with coauthors.

Please include:

  • Your name and a brief introduction.
  • Your proposed article title and destination.
  • Your article draft or a short outline.
  • When you visited or researched the destination.
  • Relevant sources, original photographs, and captions, if available.
  • Any coauthors, institutional affiliations, or commercial relationships.
  • Whether the article has already been published elsewhere.

We review submissions based on originality, relevance, accuracy, usefulness, and editorial quality.
